Coalton Elementary School has once again been recognized as a Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) National Showcase School, earning the prestigious designation for the second year in a row.
The CKH National Showcase School award, presented by the Flippen Group, honors schools that excel in creating safe, welcoming environments where students are relationally connected and eager to learn. This recognition underscores Coalton Elementary's commitment to fostering a positive school culture and climate for learning, built on the tenets of the Capturing Kids’ Hearts process.
Randolph County Schools adopted the Capturing Kids’ Hearts framework district-wide in the fall of 2022 to address the social-emotional needs of students and staff in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program provides experiential training, expert coaching, and a character-based curriculum aimed at building relational capacity, improving school culture, and fostering trauma-informed care.
The continued recognition of Coalton Elementary as a CKH National Showcase School reflects the school's unwavering dedication to nurturing strong relationships and a supportive learning environment for all students.
